VANQUISH x Converse Skidgrip VQ

words // Brennan Hiro Williams Japan's rising VANQUISH brand boasts several successful collaborative projects in its catalogs over the past year, including work with adidas and fragment. Run by Ryo Ishikawa (no relation to the golf pro), VANQUISH looks to continue that streak in 2012, working with Converse on a new model of the Skidgrip. The VANQUISH x Converse Skidgrip VQ features three versions of black leather on the upper, with suede at the toe, synthetic patent on the medial side and tongue, and a quilted pattern on the lateral side. Metal studs at the eyelets and a leopard-print insole with Vanquish and Converse branding round out the collaboration. The Skidgrip VQ is available for pre-order now on the VANQUISH online store.
