#SoleWatch: Dame Lillard Wears Fan Designed adidas D Lillard 1

by Brandon RichardAll fan-related news wasn't bad for Dame Lillard yesterday, when his Portland Trail Blazers hosted the West-leading Golden State Warriors.Following DeMar DeRozan's lead, Lillard played last night's game in a pair of fan-designed sneakers. Twitter userJoseph Gacula (@gaculaesquire) created the 'Yellow Tape' D Lillard 1 using adidas' online customization platform, miadidas. Gacula went with a predominantly black upper, red toe overlay, yellow webbing and speckled midsole.The short-handed Blazers fell to the Warriors, but Lillard put up 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in his fan designed kicks. As part of the contest, Lillard will also be sending Gacula a pair of the winning design, which we assume he won't be selling on Facebook anytime soon.images via Craig Mitchelldyer for USA Today Sports
