words // Brandon Richard We've heard a few explanations for John Wall's upcoming adidas Crazy 1 PE release, but the latest word is that the pink accented colorway is actually inspired by the DC Cherry Blossom. In 1912, Japan gifted the United States with 3,020 cherry trees as a sign of friendship and peace. The trees are primarily planted around the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park, in East Potomac Park (Hains Point) and on the grounds of the Washington Monument. Today, the nation celebrates the arrival of spring and the beginning of DC's tourist season with the Cherry Blossom Festival. The 'DC Cherry Blossom' Crazy 1 sports a molded metallic silver upper with pink working the tongue, collar, inner lining, heel and midsole. Custom 'WALL' insoles line the interior.
